Default Trouble with import to Shephard Staff

I have been trying to get the import to Shephard Staff working. I was getting strange things in the vendor tab like it wasn't reading the file correctly. After trouble shooting, I discovered that the GL Export csv file that Pay Window is creating has an extra coma (,) at the end of each line. When i went into notepad and removed these extra comas, the import worked properly. As a work around, I can open the csv file in notepad and remove the comas before the import, but it would be nice it the report could be changed at some time to not have the extra coma at the end of each line.

There were no changes made to our export file in several years.

I see the that Concordia's instructions were made a long time ago when they created them at this link:

    https://zpay.com/pdf-files/Importing...oll-System.pdf

If you are a new PayWindow user it may be that you are not using the old original format they are using.

See Item 5 on this page of the help file:

    https://zpay.com/pw-online-help/GLExport.htm

Try the two other options to see which one you need. Do us a favor and Ask Concordia to modify their instructions for this too.

The 2011 Export (with new FICA rates) option works. It looks like Shephard Staff is determining the employee by counting comas. A better practice would have been to take the first 3 fields following the carriage return/ line feed pair. That way it wouldn't matter if you added fields at the end of the report. I will tell my contact at Concordia about this so they can update their documentation. Thanks for the help.

It's a CSV (Comma Separated Variables) data file and they created their import using that. But I see that the latest version of PayWindow is defaulting to the new 2015 FICA for High Wage Earners. That added an additional data field in each record.

Make sure you select the 2011 Export with New FICA Rates when exporting until we get it to save that as your default.
