Norton Online Security Blocks Update

Hi Paul,

We are using Norton Online Security. The recent update (I believe it is 16.0.22) is triggering Norton to prevent the update from installing.

The Norton graphic includes a red X. The message provided is as follows:
[LIST][*]"Auto-Protect bocked security risk Heur.AdvML.B. Your computer is secure."[/LIST]
The details are:
[LIST][*] Threat type: Heuristic Virus. Detection of a threat based on malware heuristics.[*] Fewer than 100 users in the Norton Community have used this file. [*] This file was released 22 days ago.[*] This file risk is high. [*] Activity is Blocked.[/LIST]

I believe Norton's response is to hide a file having 0 KB size in the normal download location. For me this is "C:\Users\Office Manager\Documents\Downloads".

If I delete the file, and rerun the PayWindow/Help/Updates process, I get the same result.

So, what's up?

Oh, these aggressive antivirus programs are going to give me ulcers. Download and install from our download page. If that does not work, temporarily disable the Norton and try again. Also please report this false trigger to Norton. Thanks!

I jumped through all the hoops to report the false detection to the Norton folks. It was painful. We'll see what happens.

Were you able to go you our download page and download and install 16.0.23?
