View Full Version : Inactive Employee Restore?

I have two employees that only work seasonally. I marked them as inactive at the end of the season (Oct 31) but am unable to reverse the 'U' to make them active again. Will the end-of-year processing delete their records? I assume so. Do I have to re-enter all their data for the 2009 payroll?

What do you mean you cannot reverse the "U" setting? It's easy:

1. In the employee list if they are not display, click the "Filter" button at the top of the Employees window.

2. Double click on that employee to open in Edit mode.

3. Select the "Pay" tab on the top of the Employees Edit Window to open the settings page we need to edit.

4. Use the "Drop List Button" to change the "Emp. Type" from U to what they used to be.

That's all it takes. Just remember to Save and Close to complete the task.

Running the end of year tool deletes all "Type U" employees, doesn't it Paul?

I suspect the OP is unable to find those employees at all now, so there's no "Type U" he can "reverse".

He'll have to re-enter them...

It didn't sound like he had run the end of year tool yet so I'm hoping they are just hidden by the filter in the employee list Jeff. But yes, the End of Year tool deletes all employees marked as U type and all payroll transactions.
