I've scoured the intertubes to no avail for this question:

Is FIRE for preparers to file for their clients? Or does every client need their own FIRE acct and TCC?

This postal service cratering that we've been experiencing has started getting some of my clients to be more open to online filing of some of their stuff. I know this isn't really a FW support question, but I thought you may have the answer.

FIRE is the IRS' website for submitting on line.

Yup. Got all that. What I'm trying to determine is can someone (say a tax preparer), file 1099s for their clients under their FIRE account. Or does each client have to have their own FIRE acct.

Accountants can file for all of their clients.
