Oregon Transit tax is exempt from "Cafeteria Benefits"

https://www.oregon.gov/DOR/FAQ/Pages/default.aspx

I have the transit tax set up in the "Company" "Deductions," but I need to exempt SIMPLE IRA contributions and Health Insurance deductions from the tax. I can't seem to figure out how to set this up.

Thanks!

The only way you could do that would be if you do not have a Local tax. Then you would set up the Local Tax for the Transit Tax and set Local tax exempt from the Simple IRA. But you've old got three months left of the year which means that you've been using a miscellaneous deduction all year for that transit tax so you have a problem that cannot be solved until the first of the new year.

Finally setting this up for the new year. We don't have a local tax so I've tried to set up the Transit Tax as a local tax (.1%). I must be doing some wrong as it as the tax shows up as 0 in the transaction window.

Be 100% sure that you did not use the example tax record for New York City as there is a number of items that reduces the taxable wages. Watch this video:
