How do I set up sick leave for part time employees based on number of hours worked?

That's very unusual as part time employees don't normally get sick leave or vacation. We even have a big grocery store here that over the last few years eliminated all full time workers replacing then with all part time workers to eliminate having to pay vacation and sick leave.

Follow the instructions here:

The paid sick leave requirement in WA State applies to all workers full and part time. It accrues at 1 hour sick leave for every hour worked. My issue is that my part time employees do not always work the same number of hours. The hours fluctuate daily based on staffing requirements for child care ratios.

You definitely read that wrong, if it were 1 hour for every hour worked, your normal employees would end up with 2080 hours of sick leave at the end of the year.

It is one hour for every 40 hours of work.

So if you set it up in PayWindow like our example, enter 52 as the Hours to allocate per year for sick pay.
