View Full Version : 943 Doesn't match my W-3 amounts

I've waited a couple of days in case this should be reported by others. So, maybe the trouble is within my work, since no one is writing you.

It seems that the entire 4th quarter amounts are not included in the 943. Even line 17 on that form does not match the deposits that the Employer Total Report (Federal) for Oct, Nov & Dec '17 tallies. My W-3 does match the Employer total page for everything - gross, FIT, FICA and Medicare. So just the 943 is off.

Thank you for your help. Marge F.

I'm guessing you forgot to set the date to 12/31/2017.

I have just checked everything again and still the gross doesn't come across correctly on the 943. I did set my date to 12/31/17. I've added together all of my payroll amounts from the first of 2017 and it matches the paper copies I have - several thousand dollars short of what it shows on the 943. Also, the deposits for Oct, Nov and Dec are completely different from the paper copies and of course, we made our deposits based on the printouts as I've worked all year.
what is strange to me is that the program correctly does the W2's and the W3 based on my paper copies, so the 943 must be messed up. What do you think? Thanks, Marge

Hmmm, 943. Do this for me, Print the 941 and tell me if that amount here is what you are missing. I'm betting that an employee or more were not set up as agricultural workers. The only way to fix that would to be to send me the database in email telling me the employees that were not set up properly.

Yeah!!! That is exactly what I DIDN'T do correctly. I have 1 employee hired Oct 16th and paid thruout 2017. Also, once in 2018. Not marked as agricultural.

Please tell me how to email 2017 and 2018 data bases to you. I am unsure how to do this. Thank you so much for finding this. I backtracked every other way but this one. Marge

Make a Backup in PayWindow like you do after each Payroll (we hope you do) and attach that result ZIP file to an email to support@zpay.com and in the email, tell me the name of the employee.
