One employee, paid monthly, $2000.00 gross wages.
The report Quarterly Totals for Tax Reporting (Standard) reports Total Gross Wages $6000, but CA Training Tax wages line reads $5000.
The percentage is correct at .1%.
The Employer's Payroll Total Report (Federal) reports CA Training Tax correctly at $2.00/MTD and $6.00/QTD and YTD. Both wages $6000.
California's CA Training Tax cut-off is $7000.
What did I miss?

Yes the tax is subject on up to the employee's first $7,000 of taxable wages. Then it will stop on employees that exceed that wage limit.
You can see your employees wages report to see who is still under and those over the $7,000 wage limit under Wage Reports in the Report Center.

Thanks for taking time on the weekend to answer this, Paul.
I understand your point, but I don't understand why "The report Quarterly Totals for Tax Reporting (Standard) reports Total Gross Wages $6000, but CA Training Tax wages line reads $5000." for the same employee.
IOW, I've paid this employee $6000, the cut-off is $7k, but the report for the quarter reports only $5k, it's off by $1k. The Employer's Payroll Total Report (Federal) reports CA Training Tax correctly.

The Quarterly Totals for Tax Reporting cannot display info for a single employee, it displays a company total for all employees.

I only have one employee, Paul, as I mentioned above.
My point is, the two reports for one employee do not match each other: what could cause that?

Attach a backup of your company file to an email to support@zpay.com and I can inspect the RAW data to see what you have there. Be sure to reference this message thread in the body of the email.
