View Full Version : Using a remote desktop with PayWindow

We use a remote desktop for bookkeeping with Quickbooks and PayWindow as our bookkeeper is in Maine and we are now in FL.

In 2016 after our initial set up, everything worked great and we were both able to input entries as needed. But all that has changed in 2017.

We have the latest update and I have closed 2016 after doing a complete backup I also used the "End of Year" function as I'm the primary user. I'm happy and everything looks as it should for 2017 but our bookkeeper is no longer on the same page! She still sees all 2016 transactions and still has the unemployed workers on what she see on the remote desktop.

What happened? Why do we no longer see the same thing?

We've never used our software remotely so I really do not have an answer for you. I do know there are problems when using databases on a cloud drive like Microsoft's One Drive and such and that may have something to do with it.
