I ran our 3rd quarter tax report after our last July payroll (so the report only shows one month of taxes). The listed employer FICA amount is $1.43 more than the employee portion. With both being 6.2%, I am very confused. This has never happened before...any idea what is going on?

Yes, the Employer's share is calculated on the fly when printing the report. The employee share is pulled from the saved payroll transaction.

If it is off like you just described, you edited a payroll and forgot to click Pay again after editing to recalculate the taxes and net pay.

To find the transaction, go over your Normal 80 (Employee) reports for each employee and manually calculate the FICA to find the employee that you need to fix.
