print partial payroll

for the second time while printing a payroll my printer ran out of ink. I tried to reprint using the employee start and stop box there were about 10 checks to print but it only does the first and last in the selected range not the ones in-between. any idea what I am doing wrong? I had to do each one separate (start and end number the same) and that takes a lot more time.

Do you normally print your checks by Employee Code Order? I ask as the "selected range" feature only works if printing by Employee Code Order.
