File missing after update

I updated the program this morning and did payroll after. One of my employees payroll file was missing. Said the last time they had been paid was Dec. 2012. How do I get this back?

A single pay date can only disappear if you accidentally click Restore when you were attempting to make a backup as it will restore the prior pay date's backup making your current payroll day's database overwritten by the restored database. Or you did a payroll and when done you left PayWindow open and quit for the day and since you did not shut down PayWindow, the payroll transaction was waiting to be flushed to the database and the database tools timed out losing that transaction.

Set the date to that missing pay day and redo the payroll.

Be careful as it is the users that have been using the software for many years that make those types of mistakes and they sort of zone out and click, click, click and it's gone.

Thanks Paul, I went to last weeks backup and restored and it seems okay. I need to update the program again now. Hope it works out alright.
