View Full Version : Closing client after inactivity?

It seems like the program now closes the open client after a certain amount of inactivity. I'm assuming that's by design? Is it necessary, or perhaps override'able somehow? I realize it's just a click or two to get back into the client, but for as often as I get interrupted, it's becoming an annoyance.

Yes, see Idle Time under Options in PayWindow. See this page of the help file:

It saves the database from getting corrupted if left unattended and the Microsoft Data Access tools time out.
You can set it to what you want, the best practice is to not leave a database open if you will be away for any great length of time.

Perfect! I'll heed your warning, and just try bumping the time up a couple minutes. 10 minutes is just too close to my average phone call or other interruption time.

I'd say 30 minutes is a safe bet you can use without fear of a disconnect.
