Backup problems since installing 12.0.21.0

I am having problems with my backup and I believe it is since installing version 12.0.21.0. The backup dialog box shows the directory where I backup correctly (on a desktop file) but when I backup I get the message: Could Not Save Zip File. However when I look at my desktop file the new file looks like it is there but the size is 1KB instead of the usual 140 KB or there about. Do I need to install an update?
