I have not been able to backup since updating to 12.0.21.0. I'm using W7-Pro-Ultimate. The space in the Backup dialog box to the right of Selected Directory, Map Network Dive, and Removable Drive (if present) is blank.
Any ideas as to what might be causing this? and what to do about it?

Yes you downloaded the update in the two hour window where we found the backup was broken and uploaded the fixed download.
Download and reinstall it from this link to fix the problem:

I tried the link and installed over the existing application - no improvement.
I uninstalled, re-tried the link, did a fresh install - no improvement.
I uninstalled, downloaded from the to the download site (not from the link), did a fresh install - no improvement.
I uninstalled, downloaded from the alternate download site, did a fresh install - no improvement.
The only things I have left to try are uninstall, reboot, and do a fresh install.
I'll let you know what happens.

Update: Uninstalling, rebooting, and reinstalling did not solve the problem. Me thinks me got the old version. Over to you.;)

I believe I misinterpreted your first message. It sounds like a screen resizing issue. Maximize the PayWindow screen and then open the backup window and size it to show everything.
See this video on moving and resizing the windows:

Thanks! That solved my problem. There is no slider on the right side of my window; so, I figured I was seeing it all. I should have looked a little deeper. I'm functional now. :D
There is still a bit of a problem with the dropdown for the selected directory. The down triangle does not seem to do anything. I got around it by copying the address of my backup directory and pasting it into the text box. It would probably be helpful to others if a user could just browse to a preferred directory.
By the way, this little program is probably the best value there is in software for a small business. It is fast and easy to use. We only have about 6 paychecks a month. I use PayWindow to compute the various amounts and do the 941 forms. I manually transcribe the numbers into QuickBooks each pay period and make little adjustments to address rounding issues that seem to occur from time to time. PayWindow is much more cost effective than using another "service".

That drop button is for the recently used folder to pick a new backup destination, see this video as you use the left side of the Dialog to drill down to where you want to backup to.
