Any way to get a $ added for the check amount when printing checks. It seems to me there is the potential of someone altering the amount without this. Also other programs add '***' for additional security. Anyway to make this happen?

And how would they change the part that says like "Two Thousand Seven Hundred Ninety Two and 61/100 Dollars" as seen in this example of a printed check at this link?

We've been doing payroll checks since 1983 and this is the first time we had a suggestion to ad the $ symbol.

I happened to have had an employee with a small amount of hours recently and deductions that netted the check like $.45. The way that the worded part printed, "two hundred" could have been inserted very easy. If the $ were there this would eliminate the possibility of this happening.

I'll make up a video on how you can edit the check to use a dollar symbol. If we added that ourselves, it would mess up the thousands of users that have checks with the dollar symbol preprinted on them.

As promised, here is a link to instructions to the video on how to edit the check format if your checks do not have the dollar symbol preprinted:

Thanks for taking the time to doi this. Will I need to make this change each time you do program updates?

If you follow my instructions making that backup of the check format file, you will simply copy it from the backup folder and paste it in the report folder replacing the default which is installed with every update.
