I can't get the program to print check numbers. I enter a beginning and an ending number but they don't show up on the checks; the computer checks I use don't have pre-printed check numbers as they are used only for payroll and so need to be sequenced in with the regular checks. Not printing the check numbers is creating serious problems with ATM and especially cell phone check deposits.
I tried the "design check" feature but it won't let me access that feature as it requires "administrator mode" which appears not available in this computer of which I am the only user.
Help is much appreciated.
Cheers,
Chris

Look at item number 2 on this page in the help file. You need to check the option to print the check numbers.

I did check the "print check number" box and entered beginning and ending numbers - but nothing shows up on the checks.

I just ran a payroll, "print check number" box checked, starting check is to be 3653, and the program just puts a "0" on the top of the check. Distressing ....

"print check numbers" box is checked, starting check should be 3653, I am getting a "0" on the top of every check.
Looking at the check design feature, it appears that the field where the check number should go does not contain an entry. Judging by the other fields there should probably be a dbPx value. Which one should go into that field?

Did you click Print Preview and *non* the Print Button? Print Preview will not print the check number.

Please see this Tutorial:

Aha, so that was it; I always print from preview. This fixed the issue.

And that is why this warning message pops up if anyone uses the Preview Button when in Check Printing:
