View Full Version : TCW Client won't connect

Late yesterday, I installed version 2.0.23 on my PC and added a new employee. Today, I turned on my computer and the client won't connect to the database even though the Admin. module works just fine.
When I restart the client, a screen opens that says "TCW is in hibernation mode", with a button that says "Reconnect Now". Pushing the button has no effect. After I click on it, the client opens, but no employee names show up.

Your database did not update properly and / or you did not install the update on all computers where you had TimeClockWindow installed. What happens is that your database was locked by having one or more of the computers running TimeClockWindow blocking the database from updating properly during an upgrade.

The first shows you how to shut down TimeClockWindow on all computers in order for the database to be updated when you install and run TimeClockWindow Admin when updating:

The current release is 2.0.23 and is a FREE update and should be on all computers being used so the database does not get corrupted by mixed versions.
