Updates and custom checks

Is there a way to preserve the customizations I set for check printing. I have to move around fields to fit my normal checks, but the updates break those changes.

Is there a check form that could not be changed so that custom checks would not be affected by updates? It would be nice to not have to constantly replace the check form after an update. Also is there a way to customize the DD register? There is lots of wasted paper and ink printing fields that are just zeros.

No the only answer is to make a backup like shown in the bold red text at the link in message that you tagged onto with your post and then restore to the Report folder after each update.

There is no way to suppress the unused items without causing the software to crash.
