Hi,

Now that time clock has been updated, it seems to be slow to clock in and out. What could be causing that problem?

If anything it should respond the same or faster than the old 1.x series as the code has been optimized and all of the old disconnect problems fixed.

I see your problem as we just received three bug reports from you. You did not shut down TimeClockWindow on all computers before installing the new version. The database needs to be free to be able to be updated. So shut down TimeClockWindow on all computers and then start up the Admin program on the computer that has the database installed so it can be updated.

See this Video which shows how to shut down TimeClockWindow:

Okay, thank you. I will try that.

Hi,

We have also noticed a long delay between the time that the 'clock in/out' button is clicked and when it returns to the main screen. I have told my employees to make sure that they check for the red or green lights next to their names to make sure they have clocked in/out correctly. However, with this new delay they are not waiting and I am ending up with several time punch errors. I had thought I just needed to "nag" them to wait, but maybe there is something else going on? I had also questioned our network, but we did not notice this delay until the new update for TimeClockWindow 2.x series.

Also, I only have TimeClockWindow running on two computers (one active for daily use, the other is only opened on payday to perform payroll processes). I know that I had TimeClockWindow shutdown on all computers before I updated...

Is there something I can do to fix this or do we just need to deal with it? :)

Thanks,
Nicole

There was a 3 to 4 second punch delay put in for security cameras to capture video of the employees punching in and out. The next update will have an option to disable that feature. But that delay should never cause a punch in or out error.
