printing checks by employee name alphabetically

I have to press "employee code" button and check "don't print check" and click "print now" then
click "employee name" for it to correctly print checks alphbetically by employee name. otherwise it prints them in a random order. (not numerically or alphabetically)

on Employees window names are alphabetically by last name but not last name, first name.

example Robert Smith
Harry Smith
Adam Smith

It sounds like you have an old version of PayWindow, I believe it was last Summer we added the sort by last name, first name. Before that PayWindow only sorted by last name.

I just did a test (I had a database of employees with the same last name) and all came out perfect by just selecting Sort by Employee Name.

If you are not using the current release of PayWindow, you don't even have the tools to perform payroll for 2013.

You need to keep PayWindow updated, the current release is PayWindow 2013 11.0.16.

You are only one version behind the current 11.0.16 so all you need to do is to check the "Employee Name" option in the Check Printing Dialog as seen in the screenshot on this page in the help file:
