I have had no problem exporting & uploading our direct deposit file to the bank for payroll until last week. I called the bank to see if they could help and after researching my file they found that the file is not in compliance with what the Federal Reserve requires. They said that they were required to make updates last week and they have on their end but is not matching my file.
We had to manually put a space between the routing number and our businesses tax id. Then the space between the tax id and the file date had to be closed so that there was no space there. The bank double checked to see if this was an issue with other businesses and so far it is just our file.
I went into our storage for direct deposit to edit the information by putting a space before the tax id but when I exported the file, I had to manually put the space in between the numbers on the file being exported again.
Is there a way that I can fix this without having to save my file to notepad and editing it every week or do you have an upgrade coming soon to meet the Federal Reserves requirements?
Your help is appreciated.
