I have an employee setup with a 403b deduction (the deduction is defined in the company deductions tab with the FIT, Box 13 check - pension, and 941 boxes selected). The W2 is printing with the lower gross amount in box 1 as expected and the Retirement Plan box in box 13 checked which I believe is correct. However, I expected a code (E) and amount to be printed in box 12a, but it it blank. What have I missed here?

See item 8 on this page of the help file:

You forgot to enter E in that entry.

Paul, I did enter "E" in the box (I forgot to include that in my question), but the amount is still not showing on the W2

Some additional information. I do have 'E' setup in the 'Code' box. However, I have 2 different deductions assigned to Box 12a in the W2 box. Is this correct or should I have unique W2 line assignments across all deductions? Thanks

In that case you must have two deductions using line A in Box 12. You cannot use 12A for more than one deduction, it would be 12A for one deduction, 12B for the next and so on for deductions in box 12. You have up to four lines that you can use.

Our replies crossed about the same time, see my last, you must have unique line by line deductions, no two can share the same line.
