I am in Wisconsin. We have an extra payment that must be made to the federal unemployment division. There is a schedule A that should be sent along with the normal 940. Is that part of the 940 going to be included before the end of the year? This was a new form last year, that I was unaware of. There are many states with this new filing requirement. Any help will be appreciated. If it not going to be included I will need to find that part and do it manually.

No it is not included in PayWindow but a fill in the blanks form is available from the IRS website by using this link:

As this is a form many of your customers will need to use is there any chance in including it. It is something that will be needed for at least the next three years. this affects many states right now, due to the high long term unemployment in many states.

This form is too easy to fill in by hand vs the programming expense of creating the code for all of the states. I'm doing my best to not follow the lead of all other payroll companies by raising the price to several hundred dollars and then charging the full price each year for our annual upgrade and this is just one example of keeping it affordable.

I'm guessing you did not use that link and download the form. We already give you the FUTA taxable wages on the 940 Form and all you need to do is type that amount in the form, use your calculator to multiply it by the rate shown for your state and then type the result in the form and print it.

It takes you less than a minute to calculate and print.
