Restore

I am trying to restore a file from 2011 for one of my companies. I followed the instructions but I can not get the past year to come up. I store the backups on a separate hard drive and I even tried to get the file from that drive. I really need to run a report from a date range in 2011. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. It tell me after I restore the file that I need to open a company. When I do I am right back in the 2012 information.

Our instructions only work if you use our default database location which is "My Documents/PayWindow Data Files/". If you used a different folder, that means you've taken responsibility as knowing what you are doing and would need to modify what our instructions to place the restored file to the folder where you are working from.
