Cannot get Oklahoma tax table to match actual percentage calculations shown in the Oklahoma publication (see http://www.tax.ok.gov/publicat/2012WHTables.pdf).

We do not use the percentage tables, we use the Oklahoma exact calculation method to calculate the taxes. This way the employee does not "settle up" at the end of the year. However if you see a big difference between the exact calculation in PayWindow to the averaging tables, most likely you may have used the wrong Pay Period in the employee settings or the incorrect number of dependents (exemptions) when setting up the employee.

Where are you getting the range amounts that are in the ZPAY table? I'm looking all through the Oklahoma publication, but I don't see anything that matches the figures in the ZPAY table. (In fact, if you use the tables in the OK publication that take into consideration the number of withholdings being claimed, they refer you back to the percentage tables if the wage amount goes over $434 for married filing weekly.)

I see the problem, our tax service only gave us an update to the SUTA wage limit and new employer rates. We are still using 2011 brackets and I just retrieved the 2012 brackets and will have new updates on the website this afternoon.

Thanks for catching that.

I have version 10.0.23 installed. When I try to install updated tax tables, the setup program gives me the following error:
"You have PayWindow: it is necessary to install version 10.0.11 or newer. You can download PayWindow from www. zpay.com."

That problem is caused by the setup program either finding an older version of PayWindow in the default folder of "C:\Program Files\PayWindow Payroll\" or you do not have PayWindow installed in that default folder. If that is the case, you will need to download and install PayWindow from our download page as it always has the current tax tables.

Could that be caused by my selecting "Install for all users" the last time I installed a program update? I believe that was a fairly new option, as I didn't remember it before, or at least I couldn't remember what I had answered the previous time. It would be nice if once a selection is made, the next time setup runs it would remember what choice was made and either skip that screen altogether or at least default to what was selected the prior time.

No, the problem is not that as the setup needs to get the version number from the existing PayWindow EXE and the location of the tax tables has nothing to do with it. The setup cannot find your current version and the only things that we know of that causes that is what I wrote in my last.
