Can I still change check number even though it is written to check registry?
Just found out that the check number that I entered does not match to the one on the check.

Yes, open the Transactions list list and locate the transaction. Double Click to open it and select Item 2 Edit Selected Employee Transaction. If it is an hourly employee, you will need to enter the hours again as that part is refresh when opened to edit from the time clock hours storage. Then click on Details 2 as seen in the attached image and edit the check number and save the transaction. Reprint your Check Register.
