Accrual carry over

I had an event occur, an employee took one day of vacation on Dec 26 2011 and the pay period for that day was on Jan 6
2012 the stub shows that he took a days vacation in 2012 will my accrual come out correctly at the end of the year or do I need to adjust the total?

It does not matter when they took the vacation as the accruals and vacation time taken all balances out in the end.
