My 943 wages are not correct although my 940 are? I checked every employee as Ag. Also my W2's do not reflect any CA state information. Is this because I am a 943 employer. My employees would still like to know their state wage information even though no state withholding was taken. I didn't want to type this in manually. Is there anything I can do to correct it?

The Agricultural check box would have to been checked before payments are made. Checking after a payroll will not make those available. I'm guessing your marked your employees as exempt from State Tax and if so, you cannot show wages that are not taxable on the W2. There wages are shown on the check stubs for the year to date if they want to see what they were paid.

Okay then I understand why 943 is incorrect. I might have forgot to check the Ag. box and went back and checked it later. However, I did not check any employee as exempt from State tax. I just showed high dependents at 20 (the highest your program will go, old one used to have me put 99), as that what my old payroll program had me do. As Ag employer we are exempt from withholding state taxes, but that does not make the employee exempt, as is up to their individual situations. I think because I am showing them as 943 employees the program is automatically not showing any state wages. Is there anyway to correct this.

I would need to see your database backup to see the settings as it is triggered by taxable wages and if there were no state tax, there is no taxable wages. If you want me to look, follow the instructions at the link below and reference this message thread.

i have sent the database via email. State tax was withheld in a couple of instances which I have reference in my email. Still it is not showing up on the w2s.

I received the backup, restored it in PayWindow, set the date to 12/31/2011 and printed the W2 Forms and they displayed the state abbreviation, State ID and state wages. I'm not sure what you are doing but it was that simple and I sent you a PDF of the print job. I am assuming that you are using the current software and not an old outdated release. We are out of the office today for the holiday but if after getting the PDF I sent you showing the results, give me a call tomorrow and I can set up a web meeting where I can see your screen. But all the settings in PayWindow are correct as it worked fine for me.
