Yearly Zpay Program Upgrades

In California, Program upgrades downloaded over the internet are not taxable if there is no hard media (ie CD) received (California Sales and Use Tax Regulation 1502 (f)(d)). I have no need of a backup CD and could save the $5.00 shipping fee and Sales tax if Zpay had the option not to automatically ship a CD (Aad it is a greener option). I have just renewed my subscription for another year and you have a nice product. Can zpay make the changes to its sales process?

We do not process our sales, a Digital River company, eSellerate is our sales processor. They have a reciprocal agreement with California. You would need to contact them to protest but they have been collecting the taxes for a number of years now for California purchases. The email address is for eSellerate is support@esellerate.net.

The CD is what we've used as our piracy protection. Any returned CD and we disable the registration code.
