I am new to Z-Pay and just received my Laser Checks from Deluxe were recommended. I ordered #881004 or DLT111 One -Part Laser Top M/P check that was one of the checks suggested when I received my start up disk. The problem is that they do not line up very well. They are too low and if I use the "adjust top margin" then the stubs will be off. I am afraid to go under "Design" because of the warnings that I would have to reinstall.

What is wrong? Please tell me how I should handle this.

This link to an Adobe PDF file will show you exactly what the checks should look like:

http://zpay.com/pdf-files/checks.pdf

Is this what they sent to you? I have a feeling that they gave you the wrong check as I just opened our help file and if you look here:

http://zpay.com/pw-online-help/OrderForms.htm?mw=MjMw&st=MQ==&sct=MA==&ms=AAA=

You will see we recommend the DLM102-1 Check Format.

Deluxe send me what I ordered. The checks that I ordered were suggested in YOUR flier that was included with my start up disk. There was no mention that one check form was preferred over the other. I did not order the style with the check in the middle (stub-check-stub) but did order the one that has the check on the top (check-stub-stub).

If your program does not support the checks that I ordered then why was it suggested in the order form (copy attached) that came with my program. Also, why is there a place in your program under “Print Checks” that allows for “Check Stub on Top” and if that box is not checked then the checks are printed (Check-Stub-Stub)? I tested this section before I ordered the checks.

Where do I go from here ... we are a small company and I now have 500 checks that will not work and don't think that I could get replacement checks at no cost.

Since I do not feel that this is my fault I would like to know how to solve this or should I try to use the “Design” section in your program to try and line up with the check purchased?

ps Could not find a place to attach a copy of the flier (order information) that was enclosed with the start up disk

I could have sworn that I posted a second reply after researching this. I do see that the insert from Deluxe does have that check. And it we do print on that check when you de-select the option in the print checks Dialog to print stub on top as the check prints on top and that is the checks you have. Check on top and two stubs at the bottom.

If you want, email me and I will provide you with a FAX number so you can fax a sample of the alignment for me to see if it is what we setup many years ago for that check.
