View Full Version : Restore Company File Error, Cannot Use Program

I am using PayWindow off-line (no internet access) on a PC with Windows XP SP3. I had to reload PayWindow because it would not launch after running the checkdisk utility. I restored the company file which seemed to complete successfully. However when I try to use the program, all of the Quick Launch buttons are grayed out, even though I have opened the company database. I tried un-installing and re-loading PayWindow, but got the same results. How can I fix this?

Did you download the setup file for the current release from our website to install from or did you install from the old outdated CD? If it's an older version, we really cannot help you as we have nothing to compare with. But I just checked the current version on an old XP I pulled off of the shelf and no problems. Also I just tried different things to see if I could gray out the Quick Launch buttons such as closing the company and such but never could get them to gray out.

I just figured out what will gray out the Quick Launch button, clicking the "Logout" File menu selection. So then clicking Login and then the Next Button under the calendar that pops up will enable them again.
