Hi Paul,

I live in WA State where employees pay part of the Worker's Comp. My rate for 2011 is 0.0907 (based on the hours worked). When I used other Payroll Calculations, the payroll deductions were $0.69, but ZPay deduction shows $5.75. What did I do wrong ?

Thanks

Cuky

Gross Employee Rate ZPay Deduction Percentage

You need to set your rate in the Company Override which is explained in this page of the on-line help file:

http://zpay.com/pw-online-help/module_9_4.htm?MenuState=AcOXw5VVXcOVV8OdXXVVw5d1d cO1w5XvtIrvtIRVBcOnAAHCjgA=

Also don't forget to enter hours for Salaried employees when paying them too.

Thanks, Paul for the reply. I did set the rate (0.0907%) with the override and tried both "Calc Hours Worked By Amount" and "Calc Wages by Percentage". The result was $5.75, but should be $0.69.

$761.40 X 0.0907 / 100 = $.69

In Washington it is calculated by the hours worked. Where did you get this from?

$761.40 X 0.0907 / 100 = $.69

That appears to be wages by the rate???

It is hours * rate = tax

So if you enter 40 hours * .0907 it will be $3.63.

The setup would look something like this:

129

Paul,

The rate is assigned by WA Labor & Industries on an annual basis based on the business' risk class. Thanks a lot for your help. Will try it with your suggested setup later.
