2010 vs 2011

I have PW2011 on my desktop at home office and was out of town for most of Dec and half of Jan. I left PW2010 on my laptop at the shop and taught my manager how to run the payroll. Can I move the PW2010 files to my home office? I saw some reference to renaming each year (mypay2009.dxi, mypay2010.dxi, etc) in order to keep all the files in one place. Can I rename my laptop files 2010.dxi and copy them to my desktop?

2. If I restore my 12/31/2010 backup to my 9.0.13.0 build, will I get the proper figures for 4th qtr 2010 941 form? And W-2's? I have backed up every pay period.

Moving data files from computer to computer is as easy as backing up and restoring. See this FAQ which is for recovering after a crash but tells you where to restore to:

On number 2, yes on the 941 as it is still the 2010 Form and yes for the W2's.
