W-2 box 1 question

I have a question about box 1 wages tips and other compensation. Is it the amount minus the self deferral to a 401(k). This is the way Intuit's quickpayroll used to report on this line. Zpay reports total pay here. I also see it on my brother's w-2 reports line 1 is total pay less self-deferral.

You forgot to check the 941 box in that deduction setup in the company settings. See this page in the help file:

I am assuming you printed the form for last year as this is January. If so reprint the form after checking the box. Also note that you cannot use that form for 2011 until the IRS releases the new one in March and we add it to PayWindow.
