I'm printing checks and just noticed under the address of all employees, the line:
September 10-18, 2010. It's unrelated to the dates of my payrolls and it's on every check. What does it mean please? Thankyou. Marge

You entered the information for the "pay period" to print on the checks at one time and did not updated it since then in the Check Printing Dialog. See the items 9, 10 and 11 in this page of the on-line help file:
