Our rate for CA SDI is 01.1% of Gross wages. How come it always come up a few cents different than when I figure the rate on a calculator? Sometimes a few cents more and sometimes a few cents less? At a gross wage of $2,841.75 your program comes up with a withholding rate of $31.23, but the rate is actually $31.26. It is always a little bit off. Thank you.

My guess is that in the company settings you've set a deduction to be exempt from SDI tax which would reduce that taxable wage by the amount of the deduction.
