printing 941 for 2009 shows the date at 2010 on the form

1) Start paywindow
2) Select 4th quarter of last year, the year for the 941 etc on the date selection page shows 2009
3) Go to tax reports, select Q3 form 941
4) Problem: the form shows as 2010, not 2009 as expected, and does not show any of the quarters checked. The data matches the 2009Q3.

That is correct, the current release of PayWindow 2010 only has the 2010 941 Form. You can't even find the old forms on the IRS website. The only place you can obtain them is at a local IRS office.

If you need to print past year forms, like I said before, you would need to contact the IRS to get the form.

I've also heard that it is acceptable to use the current year's form and line out the current year and write down the year that you are reporting for.

This is why we send out the newsletter pointing to the announcement each year in December pointing out how important it is to print that final 941 form and other end of year reports.
