We have several family members on our payroll. I noticed that when running paychecks and selecting they be sorted by "employee name" it looks like PayWindow is only using the employee's last name for that sort, as the check lists don't always print the names in the correct "last-first" order. If I'm correct about that, could the sort be easily enhanced to include the first names?

There is no index for sorting by last and first name Jeff. That's why we suggest sorting by employee number when using the "select" to get just one employee in the selection. And the same goes for keeping the same order for all reports.

Thanks Paul. We print the check registers sorted by employee name because it's easier to locate names than having to remember or look up an employee number to find the correct line on a printed list of 50 plus names.
But it's not a big problem for us to then look at the first name to make sure we're viewing the correct line on the check register.
We do use employee numbers when making "selections".
