I just came across a bug-boo. I just ran a report for "Quarterly Totals for Tax Reporting (Hourly)" to fill out our state quarterly. Anyway I took the "Employer SUTA Tax Rate and put it in the form and saw a big difference on what it said we paid and what we owed. So checking the totals from the Oregon monthly forms for the amounts we actually sent in, I see a big difference to what the PayWindow report said we sent in.
Checking it out, the program calculated the amount off our new Unemployment rate for the year 2010 not on the rate we had last year!
Well this is very wrong. And should it not keep the actual payment amount in a data base instead of recalculating it?
Anyway if it has to be calculated it should be at the rate for that year not this years rate.
