View Full Version : local tax missing on one employee

I have three employees who reside in the same county and pay the same county tax rate. For some reason, even though the local tax is attached to all three, only two are getting local taxes taken out of their pay. I've watched the tutorial again and double checked that employees file and she does have the local tax option attached to her record. Any ideas why this is happening?

Without seeing your database to look at the employee settings or your local tax database, I'm guessing that you may have "edited" our sample New York City tax record.
You need to create a new record as the NYC tax record has exemptions for number of dependents and such reducing the taxable wages down to nothing in some cases.
