Do I have to print paycheck on the day I write the check or can it be made earlier.

I pay employee Tuesday for 2 week period ending previous Friday

I create paychecks in advance of Tuesday date during the weekend. I would like the date on the paycheck to be Tuesday not Friday. Is there a way of printing a check that way. I tried and it won't let me print a check made for 1/12/2010 until tomorrow since it won't let me make the date further than today 1/11/2010.

I am a new user. I used Quickpayroll before this program and it let me do this. Also the program kept track of employer taxes. Does this program do this.

In Quickpayroll program now gone. I was able to create monthly reports and quarterly reports. If I make the pay check for Tuesday and Friday is the last day for paycheck is in previous month or quarter the report will be wrong.

You set the date that you want printed on the checks and reports when you start PayWindow before going in an paying the employees using the Calendar on start up. So as an example it is January 12th today and you want this payroll recorded as January 15th, that is the date you select when starting the program.

In the Report Center the Employers Totals report is what you print each pay day to get your tax liabilities.

You may want to go through the Report Center and print all reports to see what you have available and want to print each pay day. The are two reports you should print each pay day and save for seven year in case of a future audit. They are the 80 Column report and the Employers Totals report I mentioned above. Both are in the Period reports section and they have the info for the Pay Period, MTD, QTD and YTD figures for you.
