Year End Close out after a 2010 payroll processed

thank you for your fax with the UNLOCK code

We have payroll transactions today (Jan 11, 2010)
we have not generated the end of year close out prior to today's payroll

if I run the end of year tool, will it delete and/or mess up the Jan 11, 2010 payroll transcations?
please advise procedure to handle this and we are located in GA
