I'm having LOTS of trouble doing these forms. My typing on addresses, phone numbers and the "cents" figures do not fill in automatically on the form when printed. Also the 940 balance due does not fill in. I've been with ZPay for years and don't remember this happening. My company info is correct, but when I fill in the preparer info, etc - parts of the typing disappears. The pay vouchers are the same.

Also, my 1099 employee totals are combined with reg employee wages on the 940. They are clearly marked non-employee (1099) on other worksheets.

I'm worried my program in corrupted and wonder if I'll have further trouble with future payrolls. Thank you.

Are you using a color ink jet printer? The IRS forms use blue ink for the numbers. If you see them in the screen but they are not printing, your printer is out of blue ink.

We never print a balance due as we do not track your payments during the year and we trust you and assume that you've used the Employers Totals Report and kept up with the payments.

I have the developers checking on the 940 to see if something happened to the non-employee flags that are there to by-pass those transactions. It may be something that happened when programming the new form.

Thanks, the balance due is easy to fill in. I have small accounts owing less than $500, so am always needing to do that. When I did today the cent amount didn't print - left the space blank.

My printer is a Brother (Laser) MFC-744ON. Marge

If you want the cents to print in the IRS forms, you need to enter them. I just tested one by entering 00 in every single cent entry on the 940 form and they all printed.

I know you may find it hard to believe that I did enter the entire amount on the form and it did not print, but there are witnesses to the fact here in our office. If that had been the only problem I would have just dealt with it. But I've spent the day correcting forms and finally going to another computer program to get them off. Address, preparer information , and vouchers consistently skipped parts of addresses and other information. Let's just leave it. Thanks anyway. Marge

Marge, I'd suggest re-installing Adobe Acrobat as editing the PDF files has nothing to do with PayWindow an you may need to have a newer release of Adobe as I know the IRS uses only the newest software to create the PDF forms.
