Vacation pay

Hello,
I ran payroll and I paid the balance of vacation time plus the normal 40 hour week, there seems to be alot more taxes withheld
than in a regular week. Can I cut a separate check for the vacation time? If so how. Will this give more take home pay?

The best way is as an example temporarily change the Pay Period like if it is weekly, change it to bi-weekly or Monthly depending on how the amount of vacation relates to the normal pay.

Or you can perform the Vacation pay check on a different date like tomorrow or yesterday.

Just be sure to print reports for normal and special pay dates.
