I use Quicken Home and Business 2009. It appears there is no way to import PayWindow data to Quicken. Correct?

If I cannot import, do you have suggestion/s on exactly what entries I should make?

Thanks

You are correct. Intuit only created the data transfer tools for their high end software, the QuickBooks packages.

See the Tutorial titled "How to enter year to date information" at http://zpay.com/help.

Sorry, I guess I was not clearly stating what I am looking for. I would like to know what entries form PayWindow you suggest I make into Quicken.

Thanks

You can do like we do here as we use QuickBooks for accounting but use the PayWindow payroll reports for our payroll. Then each month we enter General Journal entries by hand for the total payroll and total payroll taxes.

Paul,

Could you explain these entries in more detail?

I suspect I have been doing payroll (in Quicken) wrong for the entire year so far. Some payroll checks, like 940 deposits, are clearly company expenses and are easy to account for. Others, like 941 deposits, are half company expense and half payroll deductions. And some, like an employee's Simple IRA deduction, are not company expenses at all. These latter two are where I am confused on how to account for them....without messing up the integrity of my Quicken data.

Thanks for your help.

The Employer Totals Report shows you all payroll information and liabilities. We cannot give you any accounting information as we are software developers. I'd suggest if you are unsure of what you need to do is to print out that report and sit down with your accountant and ask the questions.

I can tell you that the middle of that report has your tax liabilities. If you pay on line at eftps.gov, we have the info listed in the order that the entries are made. As far as where you pay the IRA, only you would / should be the one with the answer.

See this page which tells you how important that report is:
