Can't create a company

I just downloaded the trial software and was hoping to create a company but I am unable to create or even open the sample company. Every time I try to create a new company it says, " An error occurred in the application". I then have the option to continue or close the application or send an error report.

It's frustrating because I can't even get going on evaluating the software. Any info would be appreciated.

What operating system are you running? PayWindow requires Windows 2000 (with all Microsoft updates), XP, Vista or Windows 7.

I have Windows XP. I tried again today and am still getting the error. Is it my computer?

It should run fine on XP as I'd guess that over 60% of our 6,000 plus users are still running XP.

You do have to have all of the service packs installed and Microsoft Updates. XP had three service packs released. Right click on the My Computer icon and select properties and it should tell you if you have SP3 installed.

If you do, it's possible that you had a corrupt installation of PayWindow. Download and install PayWindow from our download page and see if that helps.

I tried reinstalling PayWindow but I still cannot create a company. I'm guessing it is my machine that is causing the problem. Regarding updates here is what my properties are under My Computer:

System:
Microsoft Windows XP
Media Center Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 3

Any other ideas as to what may be going on with my computer?
