Prenote Function

Hello,

My bank is asking for a prenote file for direct deposit. How do I generate it?

Here is their email:

Your software should have a prenote function - this will generate a file with the employee data in it with a prenote trancode. You will not need a dollar amount in the employees record....does your system say anything about prenotes somewhere?

We use the standard file format for an ACH file also known as a NACHA file. There is no such item as a prenote in the documentation for the files.

I wonder if your bank does not support the ACH file format if they are looking for something else?
