FICA TAX Threshold overcalculating tax

I have an employee who maxes the FICA tax threshold but the system is now calculated more than 3 times FICA tax instead of not calculating any more tax and the right amount to reach the threshhold. I cannot override this item on the pay window either. Please help.

That's very strange as we've never had such a problem. We will need to see your database to see what is wrong with that employee's settings and pay history.

I'm having the same problem. Upon reaching the threshold the FICA tax is increasing instead of decreasing & I can't override it.

We would need to see your database to see what you have. The problem was caused in the last one we had by non-taxable deductions. They had non-taxable deductions which "decreased" the taxable wages when they noticed the FICA and once the wages minus the non-taxable deductions reached the cutoff, the FICA did stop for the employee.
