Good morning Paul.

My companies are missing from my pull down menu. Can you help me?
I can open one company just fine, but when I click on File, open company, and get my window to select my company, the companies are not there.

Help please.
Linda

Paul,
I know my companies are in the computer, but I need to know if I should create a new shortcut or just how can I get the companies to show up in my pull down window. They disappeared after I updated.

Please help me.

Just click on File and Open Company to open the various company files. That should start saving them in the pick list again.

I did, but the only place I can find them in on the botton pull down and not at the top where they used to be. and it asks what type of files...dxi or all files.

My boss will freak out if his companies are not where he is used to them being.

Paul,

I am sorry, but I CANNOT locate my companies' data files. I don't know where to look and I am getting VERY frustrated. Is there no one that can help me?

Since you said "Companies" I'm guessing that you are on a network and the boss has the databases on a network drive. You need him or your network person to assist in using the Windows file Open Dialog (when you click File and Open Company) to locate the folder where the files are.

It sounds like the network path was disconnected and you need to find out where the files are and the only person that can assist with that is the one that set it up originally.

Like I said, the only person that can help you is the one that created the network folder for your data files. We have a search tool, but it only searches the local drive that is on the workstation. You need to get help from your boss or his IT guy that set the storage folder when it was first set up.

Paul,

We are a small company and have no IT person. I just created new shortcuts and we can access both companies just fine.
Thank you for all your help. (I was off Monday)
